The Japanese word onsen (温泉) is pronounced "ohn-sen"
Onsen Barbershop was created with one purpose to bring renewal to the everyday experience of a haircut.
The name Onsen comes from traditional Japanese bathhouses, places known for calm, reflection, and rejuvenation. That same energy lives here. I wanted to create a space where you can slow down, clear your head, and walk out feeling refreshed.
For me, barbering has always been about more than just the cut. After fifteen years behind the chair, I’ve come to see it as a craft that connects people. Coming into the shop I want you to reset, to grow, and to feel grounded again.
The design and philosophy of Onsen are inspired by nature. Barbering has been a journey and I relate to the image of a tree trunk and its rings. Each ring tells a story of growth, time, and experience. That’s what Onsen represents: stability, renewal, and the beauty of evolving over time.
When you step into Onsen, my goal is for you to feel that same balance rooted, calm, and renewed.
Meet the Team
Jon Ortiz
I’ve been barbering for seven years now and I’ve loved every moment of it! I was born and raised in Chicago. Living there for 32 years of my life taught me a lot, and I will forever love the city and what it gave me. Living there instilled professionalism, hard work, and dedication to the craft. What I love about cutting hair is that there’s always something to learn whether it be from someone’s hair or from the conversations that you have with someone sitting in your chair. I love building relationships with people and learning about the new city that I’m living in, Las Vegas. I’m super grateful for the journey that I’ve been on since I first picked up shears and clippers. It’s landed me in an amazing city and has opened so many doors for my wife, kids and I. I look forward to continuing to grow in an amazing community here in Las Vegas.
Jason Amistad
I have been a professional barber for over 13 years, beginning my career in Central New Jersey and gaining experience at a variety of shops throughout the state. Five years ago, my family and I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where I was able to further refine my craft and learn from many talented barbers who have shaped my approach and skill set.
I am excited to continue my education, expand my brand, and begin this new chapter in Las Vegas. I look forward to connecting with the community and contributing to the city’s grooming culture.

I’ve been barbering for about 15 years, and the journey has been nothing short of amazing. Growing up in Norwalk, CA is where it all started, and from there I had the chance to sharpen my skills in Chicago before finally settling in Las Vegas. Each place added something unique to my craft and shaped me into the barber I am today.
What I enjoy most is the relationships. I learn every client’s hair, their style, and their story. The goal was to become more than just clients. Barbering has given me a career, a community, and a purpose I’m grateful for every day.
Camille Cravero
I’m born and raised in Vegas and love this city and its people so much. I started my barbering journey 6 years ago and have loved every second of it. Barbering is so much more to me than just cutting hair. The relationships I’ve been able to build with my clients and connections I’ve been able to make throughout the years has been so rewarding and beyond invaluable. One of my favorite things to do in life is talk and connect with people and barbering provides a space to do that on a daily basis. People always say if you find something you love to do, you’ll never work a day in your life and I never thought that was actually attainable until I started cutting hair. I’m so excited for this next chapter in my barbering career and look forward to all the people I’ll be able to meet and connect with at this amazing new shop.
